But I feel like compared to other disorders the criteria there are harder to meet right?
The only thing I'd say that I'm not sure anyone clearly touched upon is that every aspect of DID/OSDD seem to be suggestible traits. Infamously, a psychologist gave someone a full suite of the symptoms through hypnosis and suggestion, including fake memories, which resulted in many concluding the disorder simply didn't exist by itself and was based on Freudian conjecture. Modern psychologists are careful to never say anything about DID when they suspect it, to prevent that. Furthermore, people who are diagnosed with DID/OSDD do not always have all of the traits.
This means that by studying the traits and looking for them in yourself you can make them manifest. Also OSDD-2 is totally the same mechanism as tulpamancy, if you ask me. Tulpamancy only dances around the negative side-effects on memory and depersonalization and what not by default, and so cannot be classed as disorderly.
